Thank you Reverend Robert, we must always remember who we are, and that we are in this world and not of it. Our enemy knows who we are and will be in constant pursuit until we leave this world. Thank you for reminding us that Jesus made a way for us through repentance.

Thank you, the length of your message was perfect. My attention span has shortened, like many others in this time of expanding knowledge technology. Where nearly all known knowledge is a click or two away.

I have a question, I could look it up, but I'd like to hear your opinion, as it came to mind while you were speaking. Once we have the Holy Spirit does he leave us until we repent, or does he stay a nudge us back in line?

Geotom,

First of all, as Christians, we have the Holy Spirit within us. God is within us. Next the writer to the Hebrews wrote that God would "never leave you nor forsake you". So, the Holy Spirit will never depart from us. However, when we sin, it is as if we put the curtain in the temple (we are the temple of God), the curtain that divided the holy place and the Holy of Holies, and therefore He does not hear our prayers. Crucially, if we look at Revelation 3, and to the letter to the Laodicean Church, we read that "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.". Remember this is written to a church, to believers. This is not a salvation message, as they are already saved. So, we have a picture of a church that is lukewarm, not following God, with sin in their lives, yet God is actively nudging us back into line. I hope that helps. Robert.

Hi there Geotom, I can remember sermons being an hour long, now when I visit a church I am told to preach for only 15 minutes. I will answer your question properly later.
